Carol Ann Dietz, MS, RDN
Nutrition Therapist | Memphis, TN Office + Virtual
Carol Ann received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Sewanee: The University of the South. From there, she served as the Assistant Director of an educational Farm School in northern Alabama where she taught both children and adults about sustainable agriculture during extended overnight field trips. As a program leader, she developed curriculum, created personalized programs, and trained staff with an emphasis on the importance of social/emotional learning. Carol Ann particularly enjoyed spending time in the Teaching Kitchen, where she taught farm-to-table classes and made cheeses and soaps with fresh goat milk.
Impassioned by the curiosity inspired by experiential food systems education, Carol Ann returned to school to receive a Master of Science in Nutrition and complete a dietetic internship through the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her internship, she completed the bulk of her rotations in clinical nutrition and eating disorder facilities. Carol Ann loves working with clients to repair their relationship with food through a non- diet approach.
Carol Ann offers in-person nutrition therapy services in our Memphis office as well as virtual nutrition therapy and enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Her areas of focus include:
Eating Disorder Recovery
Chronic Dieting and Weight Cycling
Intuitive Eating
Body Image
Digestive Disorders
During her free time, Carol Ann can be found skating with the Memphis Roller Derby league, cooking, watching movies, and spending time with her husband, dog and cat. She hopes to one day be able to translate her larger-scale farming skills to maintaining a garden.
