Julia Noel, MS, RD, LDN, CDCES, CIEC
Nutrition Therapist | Memphis, TN Office + Virtual
Julia embraces a compassionate, science-based approach to helping her clients rediscover the joys of eating and nourishing their bodies. Her goal is to support her clients by creating a safe and comfortable environment to explore what authentic health can look like for them. She strongly believes in the importance of building trust and rapport by honoring and listening to the lived experiences of her clients. Using the principles of Intuitive Eating and weight-inclusive nutrition therapy, Julia guides her clients through the journey of healing their unique and complex relationship with food and their bodies, gently and intentionally.
After earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from University of Memphis, Julia began her career as a Clinical Dietitian with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in 2018, where she gained valuable experience in pediatric nutrition. It was there she discovered her passion for nutrition education and counseling as an inpatient dietitian, and, later, as a team member of both the pediatric endocrinology and eating disorder clinics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her parents gifted her the 3rd edition of Intuitive Eating: A Revolutionary Anti-Diet Approach by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, and it was life-changing. She then became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in 2021 to combine weight-inclusive nutrition therapy with diabetes self-management education and support in her work with patients living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
In the summer of 2022, she transitioned into working at the University of Memphis as the Director of Nutrition Services for the Campus Recreation team. As a member of the leadership team and an academic instructor, she enjoys connecting with college-aged students and young adults during this pivotal season of their lives to help them foster a basic understanding of nutrition, self-compassion, and a non-diet approach to balanced eating.
Julia is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has served on the board of the Memphis Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MAND) as CPI Chair and Chair-elect. Julia was named Emerging Dietetic Leader by MAND in the spring of 2024.
